Ring retrieved. I borrowed a pair of pliers from [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl, which were just big enough to get the trap thingy undone. Of course, it turned out to be about 2 mm smaller in diameter than the ring. However, with the help of that universal household implement, the wire coathanger, I managed to fish it out. And the sink doesn't seem to be leaking, either.

Managed to forget the bag containing my lunch at the coffee shop this morning, but I remembered it after only one streetcar stop. No wonder my horoscope says a sense of humour will be appreciated today.

Went over to [livejournal.com profile] monkeycommando's Bistro last night where Cousin J and I sat in the basement and watched Lost (S can't watch it because it makes her sick -- pregnancy is weird). MC came downstairs every so often to make sure we had enough grilled cheese sandwiches, then came and watched Alias -- which was actually fun for a change! Hurray!

GIP from [livejournal.com profile] talisker. OK, I'm more of a coffee girl in the mornings, but anyway.

I read this on craigslist yesterday and thought of your ring:

I'm glad your retrieval didn't entail your having to sleep with someone in gratitude.

hee! Wow, me too.

Nor did my retrieval entail ANY quantity of, um, spew. thank goodness. Actually that U-bend seems to be in admirable working order. Woo hoo.
