OK, that's pretty damn cool.

Google Maps added a satellite function! You can see a tiny blurry picture of your house! (Strangely, it doesn't have quite the resolution of the ones on Alias, but it is just a beta, after all.)

Wouldn't it be a scream if you looked down onto your apartment's roof and saw yourself in a compromising position? Waaaahahahahaaa! As creepy as this is, it's also amazingly cool: I looked up my workplace and saw my co-worker's car!!! She always parks in the same place, so that's how I knew. Since most of us instinctively type our own addresses, d'ya think that somehow Google is able to save and sell them as confirmed web-connected addresses? Ewwww . . .

Dad liked the link, too. He also made some comment about "civilian access" satellites and the fact that even 35 years ago the satellite images they had access to in the military let you read a newspaper from 38 miles away.... ;)

Wow, pretty neat. They even have the naval base photgraphed which I found really surprising.
