electriclandI thought I'd round out my Roman Britain fiction experience with some Rosemary Sutcliff, so I'm reading The Lantern Bearers (not that edition, which is ugly -- mine is part of an omnibus edition that I bought before Christmas at the used bookstore up on Kingston Road next to the International Chop Suey, but haven't had time to read yet < /mountain of irrelevant detail > ).
I used to love her stuff when I was nine and reading my way through the school library, and I'm happy to say it's held up well.
