Could be time to do some icon housekeeping. This has filled my last available space. I miss Photoshop (would love to redo this in my Heroine Addict template), but I think this isn't bad at all.

Last night's episode... Holy shit.

They seriously had me going. I thought "No way! Rose can't be dead!" But then I thought "You never know with this show! She could be! Aaaaaagh!" And was freaked out until it transpired that no, she wasn't dead (whew). And after all, as [livejournal.com profile] stilldeepwater says, how are they going to get rid of Christopher Eccleston? Me=on tenterhooks.

I was relieved that they gave us some Bad Wolf flashbacks because obviously I wasn't fangirly/conspiracy-minded enough to notice them the first time around.

I think I'll have to start taping the show for keeps Sunday nights.

Also watched episode 2 of Slings and Arrows, which Showcase is considerately milking the life out of.

My poor sister was sitting beside me going "When are the Daleks coming on?", 'cause she wanted to completely avoid them. They really freak her out, as they do me.

I'm sad there is only one Christopher Eccleston episode left. *sigh*

I.

Am.

Shocked.

HOW can you like that show? How can you be anything but relieved when Christopher Ecclestone disappears again? I'm utterly speechless.

I caught the last episode the other day and had to switch off after about 15 minutes because my brain was gonna melt. I thought it was the unfunniest, crappiest crap I've ever seen. Except Ben Stiller.

Seeing as you guys, whom I hold to be some of the most intelligent people around, seem to like it, I must ask: What am I missing??? Help me, cos there seems to be something I don't get. Is there?

Hm. Interesting.

I've been watching since the second episode (and recently caught up with the first). Something I've really enjoyed about this season is the way the episodes have built on one another. In Episode 12, they went back to a place the Doctor thought he'd fixed a hundred years ago, only to find that he'd actually made the situation worse.

Christopher Ecclestone's Doctor took me a while to get used to, but has won me over. I like that he makes mistakes, he's irritating at times, but he's enthusiastic about everything he does.

And Rose is a great character -- she came with him on impulse and she's regretted it a few times, but she's never been an intimidated little Earthling. She speaks her mind, she stands up for herself, she's generous, she's kind, she's practical, she's down-to-earth, she flirts when she feels like it, and she's funny.

My memories of the original series are fond, but quite hazy. I don't know how much difference that makes.

Hm. Maybe you had to grow up with it. I'd never seen a single Dr Who episode in my life. Maybe that's why. Well, enjoy the last of the season! :)

Dr. Who rules!

I watched episode 13 last night. Daleks and everything, but not as good an episode (IMHO) as some of the earlier ones.

We get one quick glimpse of the new doctor at the end. Hard to tell what he'll be like, from that.

I saw it last weekend. I've seen the new guy in another miniseries that played on the BBC a few months ago. He should be interesting.

That it is. Although I hear there's a second season coming up. Eventually.

Don't read the spoilers for next week's Doctor Who!

Will do my best to avoid spoilers!

I actually am grateful to Showcase, because while I'm pretty sure I caught most of S&A the first two times, it was all out of order, and I got a bit confused.

Oh, I know.... I am going to miss Christopher Eccleston. He made for a really cool Doctor. The Doctor, Rose, and Captain Jack make a great trio. I will be first in line to buy the DVDs!!!
