Strangely disjointed: [livejournal.com profile] pixel12's father's birthday party, then sinks and taps, then lake, then A&A's wedding shower, then dinner with aunt and uncle and friends, then bus down from Bradford, then FIVE-HOUR TORONTO TREK MEETING,* then pub, then Fantastic Four. Packed, no coherent theme. At least I got to swim.

*I was feeling all guilty about being 15 minutes late until I got there and there were 4 other people present. Which kind of annoyed me, 'cause the meeting was at noon and I was on a bus at 10 a.m. to be there. Oops. Apparently I was 40 minutes early -- had it confused with something else I might have been doing that day. That explains a lot.

I didn't notice her! But I'm bad about these things. I didn't even really clue in that it was Vancouver.

Mom and I are going tomorrow night to try and spot her ;). Will advise. :).

Hiho,

the meeting was at noon

Uh... actually, the meeting was at 1pm. We thought you were a keener being way early and all...

Cu,
Andrew

Crap, you're right. I am 20% less appalled by the length of the meeting, then, and I take back my annoyance with others' lateness. ;)

shush, you!

in retrospect it makes the whole waiting part more tolerable. I'd probably have sat around reading Middlesex and organizing my binder in a nice air-conditioned cafe and wouldn't have taken a taxi if I'd known, but other than that my day wouldn't have been any different.

So. Uh. What do you run at Toronto Trek? And, out of ... totally blank curiosity, would you like some free fridge magnets? Because I can make some ahead of time, and, you know. Would rather cheerfully like to give them to someone who I know who will coincidentally probably be attending this convention.

For my sins, I am the Media Liaison. Which is actually a pretty good position -- there are jobs that are way higher stress.

I love fridge magnets! What did you have in mind?

Pick a couple pins off my catalogue, or just invent a phrase or whatever, and I can make 'em into super-strong magnets. I have a couple Trek-specific ones, and a bunch of sci-fi ones, and will probably be bringing magnets _with_ me, too. In case there's something on the table that isn't in the catalogue, which is quite likely. Etc.

Good heavens you have a lot!

0013 (chocolate) leaps out at me. Ooh, and 0034 (intelligent laziness). And 0175 (ketchup).

...in fact, they are all wonderful.

Thank you very much, and I'll stop by to see you and buy the odd button, for sure!

Hee. I have precisely 250 designs of my own, plus another 100 or so from other people. It's a hobby.

You're welcome, and see you there!
