It's Thursday, July 21st.

A debate at 30,000 feet is brewing over the possible lifting of restrictions on cellphone use in airplanes. An association of corporate travelers argues they need to use cellphones to stay on top their work. But the possibility of lifting the cellphone ban has raised concerns with security officials and people who like to travel in peace and quiet.

Currently, there's one reason to lift the ban on cell pho---.
Can you ---- me? Can you hear me ---? How about now? Can you hear me?

Ok I'll start again: there's one reason to lift the ban on cell phones: I could finally join the exclusive mile high pho--------- club. Still cutting out? Mile high phone ----- club? No?
-----The Current.

I'll call you back.
[livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl and I agreed, after listening to the guy who wants to be on his cellphone anywhere and everywhere, that the only reasonable term for him is "wanker." Dude, if you truly believe you are so essential to the workings of the world that you can't be out of touch for three hours because you are ON A PLANE, either you have your clients trained badly or you need a new job.

I had one of those jobs. Clients who want you at their beck and call 24/7 suck. I don't miss them one little bit.

I hope it gets lifted because i want the annoyance factor to cement the Cellmet. Which although I believe I invented it in my own journal some time ago http://www.livejournal.com/users/calebbullen/386035.html

I'd genuinely like to see it become popular so I can stop listening to cell phone users.

All though I've started to sing out loud at the same volume as anyone who talks on a cell phone near me. It usually doesn't have to go on for long.

One time, I was taking a train from London to Preston with a friend of mine, and there was this guy yammering on his mobile phone from the moment we got on the train.

I dozed off for awhile, and when I came to, he was still talking! I asked my friend (and the people across from us) if he'd taken a break, and they said, "No..."
