Chocolate Easter Eggs Saved My Sanity
Feb. 27th, 2003 06:25 pmThat's going to be the title of my tell-all autobiography. Catchy, eh?
In other news... too freaked out about this project to take tomorrow all the way off so I'm coming in to work in the morning and taking the 3:40 train. (That would be the ill-fated one that took 7 hours to get Jen back to Toronto. Hmmm.) It's definitely in better shape than it was this morning, and MUCH better shape than it was yesterday... but I'm still edgy. It's gotta be in QA on Monday after all, and I don't want to miss our last full day of proper development. Guylaine is gonna work on it on the weekend and I think she's comfortable with what I want now. (And let it be said that much of this is my fault for not spending time with her earlier -- not enough time -- never a good idea.)
And I get to fly down to Philadelphia next week to sit in on a review meeting for the 3-week devil project. Woo frellin' hoo. This right after I emerge from a 2-day training session with me as the principal trainer (at least I finally got that outline done, however rudimentary it is). I whined a lot but someone's gotta do it.
In the meantime, however: home! see P! and others! party! Life is on the whole pretty good.
Or it will be, once I'm packed.
My apartment smells of hyacinths. (This is based on memory, as I'm still at the office.) It's nice.
Richard sent me this:

Here's mine (everybody needs one):

And one more thing: Damn you,
crankygrrl, for getting Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses stuck in my head!
Yeah, looking back at that title I'm just not so sure any more...
...maybe a few more eggs...

Influence
Date: 2003-02-28 08:19 am (UTC)So, for a change, I'm going to tell you that due to your postings I will:
1- Spend time with butterflies.
2- Purchase a hyacinth in the flower shop to give my work space a little greenery.
