But...but...No! Nonono! This can't be right. According to that map, it's bad everywhere. But you're in Canada. Canada. Where the trees are green and the air is clear and the birds are singing and the bears are growling...
...and the coal-fired power plants are belching and the SUV drivers are roaming free and the barbecues are burning and the factories in Windsor and Sarnia are doing their thing... ;)
...yeah. We get a little smog from over the border too.
Hehehe, "SUV drivers roaming free". A lovely picture. Please make sure someone alerts the media when Cranky gets behind the wheel of that Sherman tank, I'd like to watch The Rage :)
I keep forgetting that there are actual cities in Canada. I only ever think of the forests. For anyone who loves trees, Canada sounds like paradise... And I'm sure it is, plus a few SUVs and BBQs ;)
HEY! Now that you mention it. What in the name of all that is awful does SUV stand for? Hm? They mention it on Top Gear all. the. time., and no-one I've asked can tell me! Can you?
For a mercifully brief period after they were introduced they were called "sport-utes" in the press, but I guess that wasn't tough enough, so SUV it is.
And hee! to the beautiful image. We have lots of lovely pine forests and things. Just not so many (http://www.canadainfolink.ca/DensityMap2001.jpg) where I live, (http://www.toronto.ca/index.htm) which raithen will tell you is a cesspit of lousy air quality, noise, and way too many other people. ;)
OK, nevermind that first link. It'll have to be the Atlas of Canada after all: http://atlas.gc.ca/site/english/maps/peopleandsociety/population/population2001/density2001/1
(note: if you don't click on the first link, but copy the shortcut and paste it into the browser address bar, it still works. Tiresome people. Build your site better if you don't want me linking directly to an image.)

Hmmm... Given the amount of woodsy driving Kim and I did north of Brampton this weekend, you're making me want to suggest a new slogan to Peel Region:
"Peel Region. We have lovely forests and things." :)
