So my dad has kindly been getting quotes for new windows for me. This makes me feel princessy and helpless but also very grateful because DEAR GOD there is no rhyme or reason to this business. Here's what we came up with as a result of yesterday evening's tabulation (obviously far from finished):

So, what have we learned from this?

1. Shop around.
2. Be aware that very few stores will give you a straight answer, curse them.
3. A lot of stores are ON THE CRACK. (That last column kept saying he was very competitive. Hah.)
