electricland: (house plan)

So, as always, we begin with my aunt:

Dan had a better offer for lunch today; so Sonia, Dennis, John and I had cheese fondue, salad and pate.

John went to Rona and then did the plans for the duct work. Tilde and I delivered them to the shop on Pape Ave.

Dennis worked on Jen's sink and then went to Canadian Tire. (Have bill.)

Brian the Tile came and gave John a list of shopping requirements.

I sanded yesterday and may sand today--or not.

Cheers all, Helen
But I too have been busy! Made phone calls to all and sundry about the water supply weirdness, which reveal that the city needs to get its act together. (Basically, we were on the list to get upgraded, and we chose to do the quick-service option which was done by another company, but we didn't get taken off the regular list. So the regular-list guy is now all hurt and confused. But it's the city's fault.)

Have arranged for the gas company people (2 people, 2 gas companies) to show up at the house on Friday and give us quotes.

Have sorted out the question of whether we need panic bars on our fire doors. (No. Thought not. We do need self-closing and -locking mechanisms, though.)

My parents spent much of Friday driving around looking for window quotes. I love my parents.

Jen told me last night we were nearly out of money, but fortunately it seems we can get more. And I have a birthday coming up. ("I would like a self-cleaning stove, please. And for Christmas, may I have a fridge?") And we don't really need paint... right?

Where do you want to buy your paint?

I hear there's a kick-ass place up on... Danforth? Kingston Rd.? Anyway, where there's a colour consultant people line up to see, even if other people in the store are free. I think it starts with a C.

There. Probably.

Paint can totally wait. Or be donated by friends for various events. Or be done with glazes and sponge-painting for much cheaper.

You certainly can. Seriously. Pick a colour, people buy some paint, paint your living room, etc. It's fun for all.
