Martin forwarded this to me. Quizzy goodness. Enjoy...

Chine 1945-46
Corée 1950-53
Chine 1950-53
Guatemala 1954
Indonésie 1958
Cuba 1959-60
Guatemala 1960
Congo 1964
Pérou 1965
Laos 1964-73
Vietnam 1961-73
Cambodge 1969-70
Guatemala 1967-69
Grenade 1983
Libye 1986
El Salvador 1980s
Nicaragua 1980s
Panama 1989
Irak 1991-99
Soudan 1998
Afghanistan 1998
Yougoslavie 1999

Dans combien de ces pays les bombardements américains ont-ils fait directement émerger un gouvernement démocratique, respectueux des Droits de l'Homme?

And now I sound like a major hick from the backwoods of nowhere... why for did you post en Francais?

Not that I didn't get the gist of it from my big ole background of grade 9 french. Was mostly just curious if living in Quebec you are "Strongly encouraged" to post in french now and again :P

The other thing that I would like to ask is, one of the defining characteristics of being a first world country is beating the living heck out of somebody... name a first world democracy and invariably they beat somebody in a war in the past 200 years. Which may seem like a long time, but its still in living memory. So what does the fact that the States has blown up people mean exactly? Its a long list, yes... and the US is more or less the only major power left... or something. I dunno... I think I stopped making sense after the part where I said I was going to sound like a hick myself... but you can make up your own mind :P

The answer to your question is "because I didn't feel like translating it".

What is supposed to amuse is the question at the end, "In how many of these countries did the American bombardment lead directly to a functioning democracy that respects human rights?"

~blush~ I should have guessed it was something like that... eventually maybe all Canadians will speak and read both French and English, but not yet. Thanks :)
