Stephen Harper is so funny!
Nov. 24th, 2005 10:50 amNo-confidence motion introduced, election one step closer.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. EST, Mr. Harper rose in the House of Commons. What a comedian! Ah well. It should be fun, whatever happens.
The sparsely worded motion replaced an earlier one in which the Conservatives borrowed heavily from comments in Justice John Gomery's report on the sponsorship scandal to accuse the Liberals of enjoying a “culture of entitlement” and being responsible for a gross abuse of public funds.
“The opposition parties in this Parliament did our utmost to make it work,” Mr. Harper said of efforts to keep the House of Commons going.
Elsewhere in the national psyche (OK, some of this is yesterday's news, but anyway)...
Urban aboriginals want more say.
Bob Rae will lead a new Air-India inquiry.
And the Grey Cup is coming!
