My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, John, Dan and I had corned beef sandwiches
and coleslaw.

Foam insulation in the basement was finished by Jason and James.

Dan finished the subfloor under Jen's back room to keep it save from
wildlife and will stain this afternoon with oil-based stain. Then will
work on the ceiling in Jen's bathroom.

John is working with lights and switches in Jen's living room

Bill is working on the third floor. Stuart is on his way over.

John expects to hear from mechanical inspector about a final visit.

Cheers all, Helen
Also, my dad said yesterday that Bill
started mudding the drywall on the third floor! Very exciting. Also,
Cranky's Mum admired the new door/window assembly very much.

It seems unfair.

My brain insisted on interpreting both of the first two sentences as being about lunch. It then conjured up a picture of the owners dining on corned beef, while the poor repressed workers had to eat foam insulation in the basement...

sadly, I suspect the owners did not partake in corned beef, but rather Young urban professional Toronto lunch fare.... They have jobs to pay for house fun, and therefore miss out on the yummy (and not so yummy ;) plats du jours chez elles!

oh dear, that would be cruel of us.

For the record, I had mixed vegetable roti from Coconut Grove for lunch... much better than foam insulation.
