House update: Friday

(No house update yesterday. I was bereft.)

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, David, Dan, John and I had sausage penne with
Caesar salad.

Bill and Stuart are almost finished the third floor drywall.

The inspector is coming on Monday.*

David (who is recovering from seeing Gotterdammerung) moved Ikea
stuff to the basement and also the tool centre, in preparation for doing
joist hangers. Dan did "What Dave said, but with more gusto."

John cleared out space for the fan on the second floor bathroom.

Helen called John at the House on her first cell phone (cheaper). Took
three tries.

Doesn't the house look so much different with drywall? :)

By the by, have you ever read Bridge of Birds, by Barry Hughart?

It really does. It's quite extraordinary. Now for the other 2 floors and stuff. Although Bill seems very optimistic about the drywalling!

And no, I haven't, but I think it's something that's been in the back of my mind to read one of these days... should I?
