House update: Friday

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, John, Dan, David and I had tacos, with garnish of sour cream, salsa, cheese and grated lettuce. And blue tostitos.

David, Dan and William finished drywall on the first floor ceiling.* Still needs taping and mudding. The second floor is starting.

John went to Rona, and bought screws, drywall, sonapan and an angle (a sort of thing you put in corners, I think).

Jen has acquired for Robin from the public library system and nice book on drywalling,** and an accompanying DVD. (I wonder how it ends?)

*Now that is EXCITING.
**I read part of it on Wednesday and was pleased to note that I had already learned much of what was in the first 3 chapters. Although it did have clever advice about using a chalk line to mark off long, awkward lines.

Also, punmeister has posted his photos from 2 weeks ago, and they are utterly gorgeous. I don't know how he found all those wonderful textures and things. I assure you the place doesn't look that nice in real life. (Although it will!) For those of you wondering, I'm the one in glasses and a red bandana.

I'm a little fat for The Jeans at the moment. *sigh* Those are The Cargo Pants of Doooom. They are covered in black goo(TM) and plaster dust. But so sincere. I bought the flannel shirt years ago, used, at the height of the grunge era, for about $3. It is also very sincere. The bandana was a birthday present.

Oh! I forgot to mention that I found the CD of the early-stage-house images that Brian left with me. So, I'll get those online as well, and at some point I'll get a CD to you so that you'll have a complete collection of the house photos.

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of the house layout/dimensions in digital form would you? I have a plan percolating in my brain right now that could use that info.

Well the house looks like it's coming along, but some of the photos themselves were really lovely.

Close! Partner in crime is the green T-shirt. Curly hair is Karyn, down to help out for a few days only. Red hair is Dan. Spikes is Cousin Mike, brother of Jen. Small dog is Tilde.
