House update: Weekend

On Saturday my aunt reported:
*Hmph.
**My mother has also been working on a timeline, and last night we
compared notes,*** and I don't think this is gonna happen.
***This involved a healthy slug of Scotch for me. AAARGH. My MS Project
file has about 240 tasks in it, and I'd forgotten some.
Saturday evening I came home and had a bath with a Big Blue
Bath Ballistic and read. (I think I want to paint my bathroom the
colour the water turns with one of those. Very tropical. Although it might
be a bit much.)
Sunday I showed my friend Fiona around the house and she was very admiring
-- I do like showing it to people who haven't seen it, because they're not
so bogged down in the day-to-day progress or lack thereof and can look
around and say "Wow, this is going to be amazing!" Sort of reminds me why
we bought the place originally.
Other than that, daylight saving is kicking my ass, and I'm behind at work
(not news), but that's about it.
Today for all-day breakfast, Jen, Jen, Robin, David, Dan,
John, Mike and I had lunch: fajitas and nachos.
John is wiring. Dan and David are drywalling Jen's front room, and fixing
a window frame. Jen worked on the kitchen floor. Robin worked on sanding
and priming. Jen and Rob cleared floors, because Robin's critical path
(pun not intended)* involves getting the floor guys in next week.**
Yesterday afternoon, I, moi-meme, did third stage mudding, under William's
tutelage, while listening to Bob Dylan. Enjoyed myself tremendously.
Tilde had her stitches out today and looks good.
The exciting news is that David's update for his amp arrived. (I assumed
this was for his guitar and not a previously undisclosed injury.) I said I
thought this was outside the purview of The House Report, but he looked so
crestfallen--he's good at that--so, let's all hear it: Good on David!!
Cheers, Helen
