As we speak, the floor guys are getting started.
My uncle says they reckon they can get the 2nd and 3rd floors done today and start on the 1st floor on Monday. Yowza. Blinding speed!
Apparently the floor of my front room, 2nd floor, is rather badly stained so they're going to have to stain it a bit darker than they would otherwise. Apparently the darkest of the three I thought I could live with will be just fine. (And it's still pretty pale, it seems to me.)
Can't wait to see it.
