House update: Tuesday

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, Dan, David, John and I had hamburgers.

Dan and Dave put up a second coat of drywall on the second floor sewer stack and duct. They have started on the front hall.

William is mudding and taping. Yeah!

Dan suggests the second floor closet in the front room needs a false ceiling--but John has to move the electrical box, which Dan won't touch.
Cheers, Helen
Have emailed back that I am more than happy to live without a ceiling in that closet. Forever, if need be. Do you think Dan will be disappointed?

well, ceilings in closets can be useful. In the log home we built when I was a teenager, I spent a couple of years FREEZING in my room. Turned out there was a big, wide, open to the outside GAP in my closet ceiling that let all the cold air in. We put some insulation in it, covered it, and WARMTH! BLESSED WARMTH! All because someone wasn't as diligent as Dan. Give Dan a hug for me, and say that *I* at least appreciate his diligence ;).
