House update: Thursday

More drywall?

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, son Mike and I had vegetable soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. "0h," said Mike, "lunch just the way mother used to make it."

John went over at 8:0 am to meet Ed the floor, who is working on the middle and front floor in the first floor. Ed will come back on Saturday and Monday. In the meantime, no-one is to walk with wet feet back at the ranch. Ed consulted John during the day on flooring.Third coat on second and third floors on Monday.

On Monday, hooligans will need to do a garbage run and get more drywall. The excitement never stops.

Today, hooligans put in docks at Simcoe. All went smoothly. Our freight.

No word from Ikea yet, sigh, so we may not be able to work on my kitchen this weekend. *sob* Oh well, there's plenty of other things to get done.

I had to check. It looks like their roof is red and their eavestroughs work. So, no. Other than that, striking similarities.

Is that the place that was in a Hellblazer issue way back when? Or just something similar?

You're probably thinking of the Alan Moore-written Swamp Thing story set in the "Cambridge" house. It just seemed like every time I checked your blog, you were talking about this house being fixed up. Good luck to you on it. I'm having a similar experience with my domicile.
