Dear Wikiquote:
It is "Nancy, Lady Astor", not "Lady Nancy Astor". Those are different titles and they MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS AAARGH. (I have read my Regency romances and my Dorothy Sayers and I know whereof I speak!)
I suppose, as it's Wikiquote, I could just log in and fix it myself, but then only my officemate would get to hear this rant!
...oh God, I'm pitiful, aren't I?

Who: Giles Corey, as he was being interrogated during the Salem Witch Trials. Massive stones were piled upon his chest in an effort to get him to confess, though he was eventually crushed to death, admitting nothing.
If you have ever been to the Salem Witch Museum, or if not (you should), you'll remember Giles Corey.
