Did not paint after all. Got to the house around 7:30 and got depressed (again) at lack of apparent progress, inability to tell what needed to be done. I know things ARE moving, but sometimes it feels like they just aren't. Sat on the roof and brooded for a while, then went and ate raspberry white chocolate ice cream at Ed's Real Scoop, then went home, where my mother fed me and cheered me up.

Jen is organizing painting parties.

If it makes you feel any better, the progress you've made on your house gives me confidence in my ability to redo my kitchen. I'm redoing the floors, and hopefully the countertops and some of the cabinetry. I suspect it will take about as long as it's taken for you to do your whole house.

actually that kind of does make me feel better. Thank you! and call on me for moral support any time! New floors will be SO worth it. (I'd recommend our guys if they weren't, you know, in another country and all.)
