House update: Wednesday

**or, as I prefer to call this neighbour, The Harridan
Today for lunch, Gill, John and I had Thai egg curry with asparagus and peanuts, and a fresh pineapple garnish.*The bay windows on the south side, one above the other, have sagged, so the window frames are no longer rectangular. Apparently this involves holding 'em in place from the outside, cutting out most of the window frames on the inside, and rebuilding them. The theory is that they have had 100 years to sag as far as they're going to. I am not explaining this well, but of course I haven't seen it.
Gill is almost finished priming the hall. John tightened screws, so that William could finish mudding Jen's bedroom. He also bought lumber for Jen's kitchen ducts--see Jen, there is hope--and worked on Robin's countertops.
William worked on the bay windows.*
The neighbours to the south are selling. The neighbours to the north** have just done so. John is wondering about his body odour.
Cheers, Helen.
