Apr. 5th, 2003 01:38 amParty was good. Usual gang, plus a friend of Nathalie's who I met Wednesday, Sophie, and her boyfriend.
Brent's girlfriend is... a little strange. The more I meet her the more this impression is borne in on me. Mind you, you'd almost have to be [/snerk].
Broke my no-drinking vow but had only 2 beers over the course of the evening, plus plenty of second-hand smoke of various sorts. Nathalie made salsa and guacamole and had a ginormous cheese platter and hummus and bread and pretzels and, and, and it was gooood, so I really didn't need pizza beforehand. We sang a lot, also danced. Not sure why my rendition of Mercedes Benz has become a standard, but so it seems.
I was an hour late and the first one there. Love this town.
And when I got home, my first piece of campaign literature was in the mailbox! Woo hoo! I exist! It's from the Liberals, go figure. Apparently I'm in the riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grace, it's good to know this because I wasn't sure — Westmount-St-Louis starts on the next block, and I couldn't vote last time.
To see the candidate, you can go here and click the appropriate riding. Sorry, they haven't bothered to translate the whole site.
Good Lord, they have e-cards. How modern.
I hope the Bloc Pot and the Greens and people like that get around to me too. Oooh, the Elector-General has ALL the candidates 'n' stuff!
Probably time I was in bed. It's nearly 2 in the morning and look at me.
