Used Book-O-Rama!
Apr. 5th, 2003 06:51 pmThe Westmount Library was having a book sale so I dropped in on my way over to the gym... $13 later, I came out with:
Hee. Books. And I made it to the gym and the grocery store and bought flowers and cleaning supplies and picked up my dry cleaning and I'm probably going to the movies with Esther tonight, so a not entirely unproductive day after an unpromising start.
- A Comedian Dies, by Simon Brett
- The Crown of Dalemark, by Diana Wynne Jones (I only have the first book in the quartet and this is the fourth, but I expect I'll pick things up)
- Midwinter, by Maeve Henry (never heard of it, but looks cool)
- In the Mother's Land, by Elisabeth Vonarburg
- Three plays by Christopher Fry: A Phoenix Too Frequent; Thor, With Angels; and The Lady's Not for Burning (bringing my total number of copies of the last to three)
- Olympiad, by Tom Holt
- The Songcatcher, by Sharyn McCrumb
- and The Urban Peasant: Quick & Simple, which I will probably use about as often as any of my other cookbooks, but one lives in hope.
