House report: Thursday

I am back from the Shaw festival -- saw three plays and had a marvellous
time. All the same, was lovely to get back to MY house and MY bed. This is
what happened on the house while I was gone.

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, John and I had tuna fish sandwiches. John had
bought salmon, and pork, shishkabobs, mitt salad and garnish. Shades of my
mother-in-law, I said "This is not LUNCH."

Sorry for the hiatus. We were holidaying--which is fun but exhausting.
Also had stuff to do.

Today, John installed a base plug in the third floor, which should--God
willin' and the river don't rise--make all the base plugs on the third
floor work.

John also deduced that one of the wires in the third floor bathroom was
hot - based on a short. So he spent an hour and a half sorting out the
wires, going up and downstairs, and found that none of them were live
afterall. Nothing is simple.
