I guess I can sort of see the point of this for people who aren't served by the largest public library system in Canada (and the one with the second highest circulation in the world, after Hong Kong).

But my first thought on reading the phrase "Like Netflix, but for books" was "You mean like a library, but not free?"

OK, [livejournal.com profile] raithen, I'm leaving. :P

I have so far gotten, from it:

Cory Doctorow: Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom
Art Spiegelman: Maus
Nick Hornby: Songbook

and a copy of Stitch N Bitch Nation was sent this morning. I keep an eye out when I'm at Goodwill, and pick up chick lit, science fiction and fantasy, and it does fairly well (I had gotten rid of most of my books before the move, so I don't have a lot of spare right now).

2 of the programmers for it are in Canada, and it has a fairly decently sized Canadian contigency, unlike some of the other swapping sites.

*ahem* I beat you out of the office by 3.5 hours. Whether this is a good thing or not, I am not sure, entirely ;) But you DEFINITELY should have left sooner!

It's FRIDAY! (or it was ;)
