I may have to give up Gilmore Girls. I've always had my ups and downs with it, but last night's ep was just dreadful. Nothing happened! The entire episode could have been compressed into about 10 minutes! The chat chat chat, which is often charming, did zero to advance plot or character, and a whole bunch of really irritating crap happened. It's possible I should just accept that I hate the direction they took the show last season and move on to other things.

I've bene having the same issue w/ the show - I didn't really watch it last season because of House, and I started up again this season, and it's just mainly been annoying me. Bah.

But we did learn that Target is a wonderful place to shop.

Yeah, I'm done. I hope Lauren Graham finds something better.

There's nothing worse than watching a show that no longer does it for you sheerly out of habit.

Oh come on now... you don't see a storyline happening with those art school girls? Why, Rory is in her fourth year of university and hasn't even had one lesbian affair yet. It worked on Six Feet Under and the taller of the girls is just as cute as Mena Suvari. ;)

I've always had issues with the plot of GG - like for instance, what happened to everything that belonged to Grandma Lorelai when she died? There was a scene where Emily and Lorelai sorted through her stuff - but no reading of the will, no "hey, now you own the mansion where Korn once lived", no "here's a cheque for the twenty bucks your Grandma left you". When rich folks die, there's a will. I am still chagrined that it was overlooked.

With the original creators now gone, the plot seems to be meandering even more than it did before.
