electricland: (don't panic)

Not doing so well on the assignment (hey, I have 2 more days! no problem!) or on picking my candidate for City Council (22 hours, I think) but I now have 11 partridges and 11 pears. (Jen helped with the last pears. She says they're much nicer than tax.) Partridges still need beaks. But I am actually on track here, so yay.

Also done this weekend:

- Ushed at my mother's choir's concert.
- Saw [livejournal.com profile] moonlightjoy and other friends I don't see enough of.
- Finished building new chest of drawers. Set it up. Put in divider box thingies. My underwear has never been so organized.
- MEC. Lee Valley.
- Some work on course assignment.
- Laundry.

To Do This Week:

- Take overdue library books back already.
- Vote.
- Finish and hand in individual assignment for course. Ditto for group assignment, also present it.
- Get caught up at work. (Welcome new person, write at least 2 articles, finish ADHD script, follow up on puzzling survey results, project plan for Big Scary Project, slides explaining What We've Done So Far.)
- Finish & mail ornaments.
- Choir practice.
- Prepare for party. (Attempt to bring order to my half of the house. Sweep. Clean bathroom. Buy food and drink.)
- Attempt to watch all Doctor Who episodes at my disposal in order to write review due in 2 weeks.
- Get flu shot. Pick up prescriptions.

I think I may need to clone myself.

At least I have clean clothes.

Hey Robin - if you have a moment to breathe this weekend, I'll be in town. I'm actually playing at Tranzac Friday evening if you want to stop by for a pint.

All the best. Even though I no longer post, I still read your LJ.

...you know, Friday would be a great time to relax and come hear you play! (Since it's after most of those deadlines.) I've written it down and will do my best to make it there. Thanks! How long will you be in town?

I'll only be in town from Friday till Sunday - coming in for a bat mitzvah and lucked out that I was able to book a gig the same weekend.

It would be great to see you again - it's been far too long.

Organized underwear is very cool. So long as it doesn't go to far. Then you get the Underwear Mafia.

you know, there are some studies (apparently, per CBC last week) that show that flu shots don't actually on a wide level reduce the incidence of the flu or the work hours lost from same. Which i thought was interesting. Though since you DO work at the hospital, I understand why you choose to get one. i just thought you'd like to know if that is the thing that slides on your list, it MAY not make a big diff'ce. ;).

I'm going to try to be there. It all will depend on if previously-herniated sister makes it in to town. I'd bring her, but I don't know how keen she'll be on a house full of people she doesn't know.
