House update: Friday

My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, Dan, John and I had Lick's-burgers.

Dan has been installing vents in the door to Rob's laundry closet. John has been bogging off, doing paperwork and administration and helping his lovely wife set a Yuletide tone in this house.

The non-Christmas tree at the house beside The House was operated on yesterday.

I blame the tree surgery for making me forget my music for choir yesterday. Three guys clambering into this four- or five-storey elm, with ropes and saws and things. I about had a heart attack when one of them took off his jacket and dropped it, because I just saw the falling object out of the corner of my eye. All was well, though, and now we no longer have a branch about to fall on our telephone line.

Not that we use our telephone line, but I think our cable is there too, and losing that WOULD be terrible.
