House update: Friday

Happy Friday! Just got back from birthday cake. My aunt reports:

Today for lunch, Dan, David, John and I had udon noodle soup
with tempura garnish.

Dan reports he still hates mudding, and he did wood filling and
sanding of same.

John has done "wet work" in Rob's bathroom and is working on a fix.

John and Dan had discussions about "eschutchions."*

I bought some udon noodles yesterday. Shall have to start experimenting with 'em.

mudding is rotten. We hate mudding, yes we do.

We hate sanding more, though.

Mudding is hella harder than it looks in the hands of an expert. At least, I haven't done it my own self, but I've seen it done by William (who is really good at it and made it look easy) and then by others who make me realize it's actually, um, really not.

I didn't mind sanding, but of course that was after said mudding by expert so there wasn't actually that much of it to do. And oh the dust and the holding one's arms over one's head...
