My sympathy goes out to the soldier's mother, but my opinion is the same -- this is a pretty grotesque and inappropriate way to memorialize your dead son. Who, and I'm so sorry about this, can't ever be a father now because he is dead.
Maybe his genes will live on if this all works. But he's gone, and nothing can change that.
