In self-improvement news, I have some trial contact lenses and a new pair of glasses that I haven't really been able to look at properly because I'm wearing these trial contact lenses. They're these, in red (or apparently, "wine pearl"), with transition lenses. I'm very excited. I'll try and prevail on a kind friend to take a picture of me wearing 'em.

Am also happy to report that the dodgy air quality doesn't seem to be troubling me so far.

good for you with the contact lenses... I never can seem to comfortably wear them for long periods of time! I like you new glasses, and anything the colour red always gets a gold star in my book.

I owe you apology for missing your choir concert. I had an early and LONG offsite meeting on Friday and I was pooped. When I got home I lay down on the couch and fell asleep. I woke up shortly after 8pm when Chris got home. I felt really bad!

I will need to make it up to you. Once we are settled into the new place, we'll invite you over dinner.

the contacts are for occasional use -- I'll get the daily-wear kind, and chuck them when the day is done. I find them too much of a nuisance otherwise.
