electriclandAhoy, me hearties, and Happy Halloween!
Turns out a pirate costume is quite easy, mostly with stuff I have in my closet already. To wit: pirate boots, yoga pants*, bodice (I'm a dressed-up pirate), purple corduroy jacket, belt, orange not-pashmina scarf for a head wrap, dangly earrings, eyeliner, contact lenses. Add a sword and eyepatch from Midoco (the eyepatch is occasional because it turns out monocular vision is really quite annoying, who knew?) and I'm all set!
I'm the only one in my office, mind you. I might have to head over to the hospital later on -- there's usually a trick-or-treat circuit for the kids who are mobile, and there's a costume contest.
*Pirates would totally have used spandex if they could.
