Nov. 23rd, 2007 12:27 pmIn case anyone was wondering, I went to the lecture. Surprisingly huge crowd. It was a sort of multimedia lecture/documentary thing, with the two presenters reading from scripts (including quotes from letters and diary entries) and a split-screen projection between them. Interesting mix of the personal and the horticultural. I found the format odd, because they were clearly reading from a script and sounding more stilted than you'd expect in either documentary narration or a more typical lecture. But it was fascinating -- especially as I've been to Sissinghurst, but in October when it's not really at its height.
Bloody cold today, but my bed was lovely and warm.
