Jan. 3rd, 2008 05:03 pmNews is just bloody depressing. It's hard to reconcile the information that the "official kickoff" of the U.S. election season is TODAY with the Washington Post's observation that "In 2007, American magazines published approximately 7,439,327 articles about the presidential election of 2008. Most of them were almost as dull and predictable as the candidates, but a few were memorable, for better or worse." No kidding.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but I hate U.S. election season, and yet there will be no escaping it. *sob*
And then there are massacres in Kenya, which breaks my heart, and the stabbing death of a 14-year-old girl and it's all generally sucky.
On the plus side, the holiday was lovely (if unproductive) and my dog is sweet (if bratty). I am closer to photos -- just need to hook my home computer up to the Internet now.
