right, I'm going home.
Apr. 23rd, 2003 06:21 pmAs always, my other projects have been shamefully neglected while I went nuts on this one. But I am slowly and painfully learning wisdom, so rather than stay in the office out of guilt and do nothing out of exhaustion, I am going to the gym. So there.
It's grey and rainy, but the view out my window isn't entirely unhopeful. In the foreground, the row of houses with brightly painted dormer windows: yellow, purple, orange, green, maroon. Past that, the Square St. Louis, whose trees are just starting to turn a hopeful shade of red — buds! I'm sure of it! Then an imposing building with a dome and a cross. Off in the distance, misty and fading into the sky, the Olympic Stadium.
I've been looking for buds on the trees for a month now. Slowly, slowly, they're starting to arrive. I'm pretty sure.
