Actually this icon does not accurately convey my current feelings about work, which run more to "We're all DOOOOOOMED! Panic! Panic! Flee!"

It's an odd reaction to being given lots of money, I realize. But no doubt we will manage somehow.

I feel your pain. Panic and an overwhelming sense of doom plague my department. Given where I work (automobile financing), things seem rather bleak, with the economy being so poor and jobs being relocated elsewhere. On the other hand, we also have more work than we can handle. Collections are booming. Payment extensions, documents my department prepares, number in the hundreds per month. And bankruptcies, which my department also handles, are increasing at an unheard of pace. Recently, my colleague was chatting with a trustee somewhere, who informed her that in this one particular week, 90000 Canadians filed bankruptcy.

However, I'm sure we'll manage somehow. And, all in all, it could be worse. I could work for those companies who face impending bankruptcy.

Fortunately, despite the stress and near chaos at moments, we all seem to have a good sense of humour and partake in it as much as possible.

PS. The icon? Total directed at me. Not at you! I wasn't trying to be insulting.

I've never used it before, because I was so afraid of offending someone. But it's such an awesome icon! I love Gunn.

I have the same problem with my "Veronica Mars is smarter than you" icon (see above), because it can come off as obnoxious. But it's also utterly perfect, given the moment.

Are you being bought out?

No no, nothing like that. Big grant with strings attached.

Are they at least reasonable strings or are they the type that somebody attached thinking it was a good idea 7 years ago when the money was actually requested but now are so far from useful it makes the money difficult to use?
