I have found my ideal bed.

Sadly, it costs over $5000, so... that won't be happening, unless I win the lottery, which isn't likely as I don't play the lottery.

This one is also lovely, and at only $2000 looks like a bargain by comparison. Still. No.

Maybe I can fake one of them somehow? Must ponder this.

(My house is still very unfinished, and I thought it would be a good idea to go hunting for things I like the look of. Sadly this appears to have backfired on me. Well, at least I can lead a rich fantasy life.)

Aren't they?

I just discovered this afternoon that I really, really like the look of Anthropologie, which is unfortunate as I don't think I can afford to develop a taste for them. Ah well, one must start somewhere!

I know! (Am coming to realize that I really like botanical designs. Good to know these things.)

Indeed. There's some beautiful stuff on that site. :)

Very nice! I wouldn't mind that first one, myself.

What I'd do, actually, is save the pictures of all the things you like and kind of make a collage for yourself. That way you can look for common themes, which makes it even easier to find things that at least fit that theme for you at cheaper prices. :)

That is exactly what I'm doing! Since I am paralyzed by indecision whenever I go to try and buy things for the house, I figured maybe I should get more information. Great minds!

Loving Microsoft OneNote for this, incidentally, although I'm not sure whether it'll manage the collage part. But the collecting, absolutely.

One thing you could do -- a bit more with the lark one than the branches, although even that could work -- is get a plain black post bed and then, where the head of the bed is, either paint a similar pattern in black on the wall as a mural to match the bed color and give that effect, or do a sort of applique/embroidery piece of black on white organza, connecting it to bed curtains and having it hang down at the head of the bed. Much cheaper bed, but similar effect.

Oooh. *starts thinking* Good suggestion! Thank you! (I'm not 100% sure my crafty skills are up to it, but it's a direction to plan in.)
