Finally checked my home email. Messages: 214. Messages that aren't spam: 22 (more than I thought). I have sent a stiff note to my ISP (I wouldn't have been so snippy if they didn't tout their amazing! wonderful! stop spam at the source! software, which apparently doesn't apply to my particular domain for some reason, all over their site), but does anyone have any suggestions for decent spam-block software?

Oh man, I have to update the website. Argh.

Haven't tidied. However, I did buy groceries and cooked and did dishes (yes! yet again! it's been a whole week now!) and took out the garbage and phoned around regarding the family get-together next month (Granny's travel plans changed AGAIN), so I feel somewhat virtuous. My parents are in (OK, next to, you smart-alecks) Georgian Bay according to Granny -- it's their 36th anniversary tomorrow.

Listened to Bellwether on CBC -- I want my copy back! [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl, do you have it still?

In other news, the Daily Grist is back and I adore this plan to turn the former Iron Curtain into a nature reserve.

This is a very exclamation-marky post. I'm going to do a wee bit of work on my CV and get to bed.

AHEM!

Nice work on the cooking and dishes. However:

I'm going to do a wee bit of work on my CV and get to bed. (ed. note: emphasis added).

Ahem! I am in favor of appropriate bedtimes, but you do need to accomplish certain things, young lady. *stern look*. Less LJing. Less ranting to ISPs. More CVing. We have deadlines to meet, you know!

/lecture.

this is gonna be FUN!

Well, I stuck in the bits I want to talk about, and I'll make them make sense tonight and send it to you.

Hey, it's the only work I've done on this since deciding I had to, back in June! Baby steps.

well done, then!

Looking forward to seeing what you've got. If you could send me a brief description of where you think you'll be using this CV (intended audience, types of jobs you'll be going after with it etc) that would help.

I'm nearly finished Bellwhether. I'd forgotten how much I loved it the first time. Although does remind me a lot of the company I work for. Only our acronymn was PHIL.

I may even tackle Passage this long weekend since it's been on my shelf for a year. How can I not read Connie Willis when she's on my shefl! (Slaps head).

Haven't read Passage yet -- let me know how it is!

I still have to send you some Ursula Le Guin.
