whee!

Just shipped the gold version of Module 1 of the project that's been eating up all my time this past month. (Well, technically it's a "pre-gold" because the client's IT department still has to certify it.)

That has to be the fastest turnaround we've ever managed for this client. Feels good. I'm glad to get at least the first part of this project done before I leave for Content!

In an amusing case of life imitating art (to use the term loosely), Bush administration officials stalled the release of a website on abrupt climate change, which was developed by a team at NOAA's paleoclimate program to coincide with the release of the film, according to insiders who worked on the project. The site was put together to make years of paleoclimate research on abrupt climate shifts accessible to Day After Tomorrow viewers attempting to make sense of the fact and fiction behind the movie's science (to use another term loosely).

Oh, by the way, I have completely spoiled myself for Troy and The Day After Tomorrow. But it was worth it. I am now relying on cleolinda for all my hysterically-funny-spoiler needs.
