Dec. 15th, 2004 04:46 pmCurse you, neurologists and epidemiologists, for not providing the exact studies that I need!
Curse you, hospital and university libraries, for not carrying the journals that do contain the exact studies that I need!
Curse you all! Curse yooooooouuuuu!*
*and me, for sometimes coming across the information that I need but failing to recognize that I will need it until I've moved on and it's too late. Look, I have hundreds of references here, what do you want from me?

breaking the vow one more time:
Dec. 15th, 2004 06:05 pmJust yesterday Molly Ivins was predicting that next week would see the launch of a massive PR campaign to convince Americans that Social Security is a massive millstone and that it would be a good idea to privatize it.
I missed it at first with the beat-the-trade-deficit-by-buying-American quote, but it looks like she was off by a week.

"The best thing we can do from the executive branch of government in America," Bush said, "is work with Congress to deal with our deficits. One deficit is a short-term budget deficit. Another deficit is the unfunded liabilities that come with Social Security and some of the health programs for the elderly."I'm a little creeped out now.
He said Social Security was at the top of his agenda.
