City Hall crawling with cops. Very odd. Not as many as this morning, when I counted 4 mounted cops, 2 on bikes, and at least 4 on foot in Nathan Philips Square, but still a lot more than usual. Are they worried about OCAP?

I got two books out (trying to keep my reading list under control and not get snowed under like I did at Christmas... which is not so easy, because I currently have 46 books on hold, and people keep mentioning new ones that sound interesting). Didn't need Clara Callan because I've borrowed my mum's copy (and must read it... oh well, I still have two weeks).

Speaking of which, I'm happy to report that the library's web interface is running again. Tuesday without it was dreadful.

Still slogging through my script, but making progress.

hmph.

Was supposed to get together for drinks with a fellow Montreal transplant, but he is swamped and can't make it. Bah, I say! Fie upon these people who allow their work to interfere with my social life! Bah!

also: I forgot to mention stuck firmly enough to my ease-up-on-LJ convictions this morning to not post that Cousin J and I spent large portions of last evening hopping around the TV dial trying to avoid the State of the Union. She was quite put out because they pre-empted CSI:NY. We ended up watching the last 20 minutes of Lake Placid, which featured Bridget Fonda and Oliver Platt pleading with Bill Pullman not to shoot a 35-foot crocodile. Alligator. Something. Whatever. Oh, and there was a cow. It was pretty funny.

As last members of great acting dynasties go, Bridget Fonda is somewhat less impressive than Drew Barrymore.
