I saw this on the news last night. I love how they had the big pieces on his head held back with clothespins to keep the wool out of his eyes. (Heh... pull wool over his eyes... heeheehee)
It makes me curious about the whole P*TA "shearing sheep is cruel" issue however. It seems far more cruel to not shear the sheep and make them carry 60 pounds of wool around on their backs for years.

You are ABSOLUTELY right. Not sheering sheep leaves them quite uncomfortable, and can create health issues. In fact, the wool over their eyes can actually rub the cornea and make them go blind if it is not trimmed back.
Lately, sure, but c'mon! Shrek was on the lam for 6 years! They got Francis back after 5 months! I mean, yeah, the statue's a factor, but I think the massive pile of wool more than counterbalances it.
Why was your friend Richard on the run from a Brooklyn Santeria ceremony?
My favourtie thing about Francis is that they made a statue of him to remind Red Deer and its visitors of the importance of the local pork processing industry.
