Friday evening: Connecting for Singles at the ROM with [livejournal.com profile] stilldeepwater what? -- I regret missing most of the lecture (by the editor-in-chief of the Oxford Canadian Dictionary), 'cause the part I caught was a lot of fun. For those of you who've been waiting for the report with bated breath -- enh. Crowd mostly older than us and mostly female. Great food though. Then downtown to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl, [livejournal.com profile] gurudata, [livejournal.com profile] scapersuse, [livejournal.com profile] kanecool, K, and E, who'd been to see Elektra -- I think they mostly enjoyed it, although there was much mockery of Jennifer Garner's posture and gait. Beer, hot chocolate, home to bed.

Saturday: Gym, coffee, used bookstore with [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl. Choir concert (marked resemblance to an elementary-school end-of-term concert, but with taller participants). I thought we were much the best though I say it myself; we certainly had the most fun and sang in the most languages. Coffee and Portuguese pastries. Lost and masses of food with cousin J and S -- was supposed to be Alias as well but it turned out it hadn't taped. (I caught the last 20 minutes or so yesterday and can I just say, SpyDaddy? You suck. Once a lying manipulative asshole, always a lying manipulative asshole, IMO.) Then a bit of Star Wars (the original) -- we waited until they'd escaped from the Death Star and then went downstairs to the bar for a nightcap. Ended up meeting a friend of [livejournal.com profile] monkeycommando and his roomie. Chat about the nature of the universe. Home to bed.

Sunday: sleep, laundry, brunch with Cranky, house-viewing, more laundry, dinner with parents and Granny, home to bed.

OK, very far from exciting, and I failed to cook anything, but I like my life.

(ETA: Also, I missed the Great Livejournal Outage of '05, continuing a long string of missed natural disasters. I'm never sure whether this should be a source of pride or indignation.)

Which friend of mine still has a roomie?

(Oh--was it T and K?)

Hiho,

For those of you who've been waiting for the report with bated breath -- enh. Crowd mostly older than us

So our joke about "you risk meeting a few dinosaurs" was accurate! :)

Then downtown to meet up with crankygrrl, gurudata, scapersuse, kanecool, K, and E,

Just fyi: K and E are [livejournal.com profile] kaelsu and [livejournal.com profile] aprilsnark. It was an all-out lj-ified gathering. At least, it would be if [livejournal.com profile] kaelsu would log in once in a while. :)

>who'd been to see Elektra -- I think they mostly enjoyed it, although there was much mockery of Jennifer Garner's posture and gait.

It was about what I expected - stereotypical comic-booky fluff. When it was on, it was dead on, but when it was off, it was bloody awful. Perfect movie to watch after martinis. And before more martinis. :)

Cu,
Andrew

I did know about [livejournal.com profile] kaelsu, but I think it probably doesn't count since she's actually deleted her journal...

SpyDaddy is the awesomist guy in the world because of the lying and the manipulation.

He is stone cold. You better step off.

LJ ate my long, thoughtful, incoherent reply to this. Your loss, of course. Gist: "I don't like him, so there."

I wasn't saying step off from me, I was saying step off from ol' JB.

He'll cut you.

Only if he gets close enough. I mean, ick! I want nothing to do with the man!
